Orion Browser by Kagi now on Beta Public!! yay~🎉 (long time to wait this!!) Orion browser isnt new browser, especially those of you who previously used macOS (maybe you arleady know~). Orion Browser is an webkit engine browser, its shares engine what using on Safari, Gnome Web (i forgot what called on package.. its hard to remember; oh yeah! Epiphany~), of cource Orion Browser and othe or browser including Firefox when if you using a Apple Products (they just polihed UI, not the actual engine what browser use), Chrome (Blink engine is fork from Webkit, in apple products still uses Webkit engine), and others.

On today this article post Orion browser had reach version 0.3.0, and yep is still in beta version it had contain bug and features include sync, orion+, extension still absent/broken on this version. and some component just doesnt work at all and for me; the brwoser align isnt centered (may cause from window control left), window control (close-minimize-maximize button) left side (like macos) had problem. it just doesnt show, only show when i trigger to tab overview show, here is side by side (orion-konsole-ungoogeled chromium-Gnome Network Display-Firefox):

Linux version only available in flatpak build without native distros build like deb/rpm/pkg/aur available right now. its okay, cause flatpak is already supported by all linux distro and that flatpak can be shipping to all linux users/orion team without pain and headace build/ships to all linux distro.

Performance

For Performance itself on linux still bad, opening like google still had glitch, youtube crash, and cant handle style properly on some website. and for speedometer3.0 brenchmarks only reach get 3.01 on scroes.

Conclusion

Orion Browser is have a pontention for dialy browser on linux and for me web-developer is needed like this browser to test all UX platform for run smoothly and no bugs/glitch. Oriom Browser Team must had more hard work for next release-features and for just working Features and stable browser on other platforms linux and or windows.
